I remember these fabulous cartoons. It was shown on cartoon network and I love watching them. Mystery shows was my fave genre and Scooby-Doo become my all-time fave.
My Dad love these cartoons too,he always told me how much he like the drawings that the cartoonist drew in those times.Well,I have to admit these were some great cartoon drawings. And we used to watch Popeye every night on Cartoon Network together. And seriously,Popeye was half of the reason why I ate my spinach last time!
Well, now they slowly stop airing these shows on Cartoon Network... Now they're on Boomerang,I think right? Too bad I don't have that Channel :(
Can you believe my Mom did not let us watch Josie and the Pussycats when I was young. She thought they dressed too wildly...
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Great memories : )

ReplyDeleteme too!! remembering/liking those cartoons, i mean. ;)
ReplyDeletei used to wake up early on saturdays just to see saturday disney... ah my childhood! hours and hours spent on watching doug, pepper ann, the weekenders, teacher's pet... and arthur!! (yeah, he's not saturday disney, but i love him anyway! haha). do you have saturday disney where you live (singapore, right?)?
your parents must be so thankful for popeye and his wonderful ability to persuade to eat spinach, haha.

I know all of these apart from Josie And The Pussy Cats. Out of those choices, Scooby Doo is my favourite though, my all time favourite is Bagpuss - you've probably never heard of it but must google it, it was produced by Oliver Postgate - brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Cartoon network has gradually been getting more rubbishier over the years. We have the Boomerang channel so I haven't bothered watching CN in years. Boomerang is amazing though, they have all the old shows on and even ones you've never heard of before. Plus my favourite show on it is the Classic(original series) Care Bears. I honestly thought the care bears were for 3 year olds but I was addicted to the show(watched it for more than 2 hrs straight!), it is abolsutely brilliant. They're bringing the classic care bears out on dvd soon, I will definitely be buying.
ReplyDeleteA lot of those shows are being brought out as DVD box sets now so I'd definitely look into some of them for xmas/b'day presents.

They have started re-playing all the old Scooby-Doo and Flintstones here in England! I found them by accident the other morning...and I would have got away with it if it weren't for those pesky kids!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! Reminiscing already :)
ReplyDeleteYou can stream anything you want online. TV channels are so last year ;) :P
I love Scooby Doo too!! Tis the best! Who was your favourite character? Mine was Wilma :) or is it Velma!?
