“Who knows, perhaps after flirting with death too often, death attracts you.” — Karl Lagerfeld, about Mr McQueen
When I was little I was afraid to die. But now, somehow,it doesn't seem so scary anymore.
Sometimes you can't help it y'know, you've had had a bunch of bad days, everything is just so fuck up,and you just secretly hope that you won't get to see the sun again next day. I hate this feeling, this thought.
when i was aboute 8-10 i would nerly ones a week go crying up to my parents because i was afraid if deth, and i would ask what it was, but now i am more mellow and i dont really fear deth (ofcause i dont want to die, but deth is a part of living you cant get around)
ReplyDeleteYou just got to live like everyday's the last. But that's easier said than done. We all have this fear. I had the most intense emotion toward death when I was a teenager. One night I thought I would die, but the next day I woke up and just laughed at it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school I was deeply convinced I wouldn't live longer than to my 21st birhtday. I wasn't even planning any future or anything. However, I changed my mind (obviously) and I'm still around :) No, seriously, what I mean is - it's good to HATE this thought, like you wrote it, it's far batter (and more sane) than to LIKE this thought, this feeling.
ReplyDeleteI keep wondering what had to be going on in Alexander McQueen's head when he made SUCH a decision. I always wonder what exactly ppl feel in such situations...
