"There is something demoralizing about watching two people get more and more
crazy about each other, especially when you are the only extra person in the room.
It's like watching Paris from an express caboose heading in the opposite direction
-every second the city gets smaller and smaller, only you feel it's really you
getting smaller and smaller and lonelier and lonelier,
rushing away from all those lights and excitement at about a million miles an hour."
— Sylvia Plath (The Bell Jar)

Its truly upsetting and terrifying to feel this way all the time.
Not just about watching two people together, but about everything.

  3. I've spent a lot more time feeling this way that I'd like to admit. I'm happy to report that it will pass. In my case a fair dose of therapy was needed...
Hang in there, better days are coming!

  5. It especially hurts when you know the feeling that is Love, and it no longer exists in your life...

  6. Oh I so totally agree, I feel this poem so much right now, it is a brilliant and beautifully well written piece by Plath, utterly on the verge of nostalgia

  8. I'm feeling this way right now. I was doing well 5 hours ago. Then day turned into night. Then happiness turned into sorrows.
I can't wait for the morning to get here.
    Have a good week, love.
