Never Let Me Go

In his highly acclaimed novel NEVER LET ME GO, Kazuo Ishiguro (THE REMAINS OF THE DAY) created a remarkable story of love, loss and hidden truths. In it he posed the fundamental question: What makes us human? Now director Mark Romanek (ONE HOUR PHOTO), writer Alex Garland and DNA Films bring Ishiguro's hauntingly poignant and emotional story to the screen. Kathy (Oscar® nominee Carey Mulligan, AN EDUCATION), Tommy (Andrew Garfield, BOY A, RED RIDING) and Ruth (Oscar® nominee Keira Knightley, PRIDE & PREJUDICE, ATONEMENT) live in a world and a time that feel familiar to us, but are not quite like anything we know. They spend their childhood at Hailsham, a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. When they leave the shelter of the school and the terrible truth of their fate is revealed to them, they must also confront the deep feelings of love, jealousy and betrayal that threaten to pull them apart.

I really want to watch this film. But unfortunately, its rated R which means I'm not allow to. I've not yet read the book though. I just happened to come across this when I was browsing videos on YouTube. But I heard the book is a really great read. I'll most definitely get it sooner or later.
I watched it for the first time and got really attracted to the story and I had this strong desire to watch it. I really like (literature) love stories like this, they've got the best lines, they alsways left me in deep wonder and thought about people and life.

I'm really sorry, but I couldn't refrain myself from posting these lines that caught my attention from this 2 min 29 secs trailer, there's something about them that I personally feel is really deep.

"....and now i spend most of my time not looking forwards but looking back on what happened..."

"there once was a boy who had ran off beyond boundary, they found him in the woods with his hands and feet cut off.
who told you this stories?
everybody knows them.
and how would you they're true.
you make up stories as horrible as that."

"i feel tommy really likes you as a friend,he just doesn't see you that way"

"we didn't have to look into your souls,we had to see if you had souls at all."

"i wish i could help you, you're poor creatures."

"maybe none of us really understand what we've live through or deal with till we had enough time"

Wands,Brooms and Magic

Finally, finally, finally the trailer is out. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
I really cannot wait for the movie to come in theatres.

I remembered the first time I set myself into the the world of magical wands, brooms and magical school.
I was about 9-10 years old and I happened to saw the trailer of The Prisoner of Azkaban on television. I didn't know what came over me but I just had this urging, exciting feeling of watching it. It was really strange because at that time I didn't know anything about the series at all. But I just went ahead and saw it,along with my Mom and Dad. That's when my craze for the series began. Surprisingly, even my Mom like it!!

Seeing the Deathly Hallows trailer has made me felt sad that the series was coming to an end. But at the same time I am so very, very thankful to J.K Rowling for creating this magnificent magical Harry Potter world that everybody loves. Her imagination and creativity is beyond words. Her books shall be cherished forever.

P.S. Seeing this made me forget that Twilight even existed! Sorry Twilight fans.

Dear Deer,

One day I am going to get a deer, like Audrey had Ip. I am going to love it a lot,
and hopefully it will love me back. That’s the thing with animals.
All they want from you is food, and shelter and to be pet, and they will love you.
It’s a simple and pleasant thing and there's little fuss over somethings.
I wish humans were uncomplicated like that.

Stormy Feeling

Um hi. I actually feeling upset today, sort of. But I decided not to make this post sound depressing. So I posted a cute picture to lift up the mood a bit^^ (Yay for Winnie the Pooh!!)
This week has been good. I passed my Chemistry test and I failed Social Studies. I think that's pretty fair and balanced. I carried out my usual routines. School-Home-Eat-Sleep. And I'm still disorganise as ever. I still have not started revising for most of my subjects and the exams starts next two weeks!
*****
The whether has been really terrible the past few days with the blazing sun and outstanding heat.
But,thank god it rained today. Heavy rain with screaming thunder and terrifying lighting. I like it alot. It makes me feels good and not alone.
Its nighttime now and the rain has already stop now. I wish it didn't though,I wanted to sleep and hear the raindrops hit our panes, and let the cold, stormy night whether put me to sleep.
*****
I had a quarrelled with Mom again. Second time this month. She keeps on comparing me with other kids, saying things like, "Look at her she's doing this...unlike you... why can't you be more like that?"
I got upset. Really upset. I think maybe its because, all my short life,I've had people comparing me with someone else. Someone who looks better. Someone who's so much better at everything I wasn't. And to have your parents comparing you with someone else just makes you feel a little more hurtful.
******
I think I'll stop here.
I'm exhausted.
I think I need sleep.
I have to go through 11 hours of school tomorrow
and I don't wish to die.
Happy Thursday everyone!

I Miss You So Much It Hurts

I watched "Dear John" today with my darling cousin,Alisha. The movie was okay although there were some boring bits. I didn't cry while watching this,I just felt terribly upset for some reason.
In my opinion, this story isreally touching. Be it the book or the movie,I love the plot, the story content. I love the quotes, the letter writing and the relationship between the different characters, especially the one between John Tyree and his Dad. Those small,looking-at-one-another silent parts truly saddens me.
I wish people could fall in love that much, just like how it's shown in the movie. How its writen in the book. Its kinda upsetting to know that there aren't many people falling in love like that anymore.

"It's possible to go on, no matter how impossible it seems, and that in time, the grief . . . lessens. It may not go away completely, but after a while it's not so overwhelming."
— Nicholas Sparks (Dear John)

I'm trying my best to believe in this quote and I'm trying my best to get this inside my head.

You're Beautiful,Do Me a Favour,Stop Saying Mean Things

I had a good day today. But I can't help but wonder about this ^^
I just don't understand this 'group' of people. Do you?

I guess they're just so beautiFULL (of themselves)
****
I just discovered that I had a rather large bruise on my leg this morning. Its not really a big deal 'cause its not really that obvious. Its always been like that since I was little. In fact,it was worse back then. Whenever I knocked onto something,a bruise never fails to appear the next day. I think this one came because I knocked onto a wall the other day while 'cause I frantically rushing to school. It hit hard.
I failed to hide this from Mom,she saw it,and now, she keeps reminding me to eat some, fruits, eat some vegetables, all those good stuff. I don't really have a problem with that, but I'm quite choosy when it comes to all this nutrients and stuffs.
Now,I can't decide which is so much more disgusting, the usual bruise on my leg on the bruise in my heart that comes and go every now and then.
****
I have a chemistry test tomorrow. Too bad chemistry and I aren't really the best of friends.

Beauty Is Skin Deep,"i love you, beautiful"

Nate: Two years ago at the masquerade ball, I tried to tell you I loved you. But I told Jenny
Humphrey. She was wearing your mask.

Serena: You loved me?

Nate: Of course I did. You are the most beautiful, alive person I’ve ever known.

Disney's Cartoon Drama

I've never watched Desperate Housewives, and I stopped watching Gossip Girls too. I lost interest in it somehow.

But if they make a Disney version of it (like that one up there),I won't hesitate to watch it.

WANTED: Mickey Mouse

I bet if it wasn't for Walt Disney,Disney Channel will have cancel Mickey Mouse right about now. I mean they don't show most of the classics, and Mickey has only a few shows going. Its getting much lesser. Besides, all they show now is the new shows and only squeeze Mickey if there's extra time.

New Moon is coming out,and almost everyone is talking about it. Well, the movie doesn't come until December in my country. But I don't really care. Maybe I'll watch it,maybe I won't. Whatever. I want to give my opinion about this Twilight thing.

Before I get to that, let me tell you how I begin reading this story. I'm not the type of person who reads those immortal books. In fact I hated those kinds. I though it was unrealistic, not logical and stuff. So Twilight was the only immortal type of book that I've read till the last page.

At that time the Twilight books were everywhere, people were talking about and getting all excited about the upcoming movie. Well,I Had absolute no idea what was going on,and didn't know anything about Twilight. So I was in my local bookstore, browsing and looking around. Then I was about to pay or my purchase, when I noticed this girl who was so engrossed reading the book, and I thought, "Wow,is it that good?" So decide to try and took one of the shelf and paid. When I got home,it was already late at night, but I couldn't sleep. So I decided to read the Twilight. And I didn't know why I couldn't stop reading it,the book kept me up the whole entire night. That's when I started liking Twilight. I watched the movie, and I really like the baseball part! I liked Edward's family...

But it doesn't end there,a few days after the movie and all,I bought the New Moon and Breaking Dawn. I'm sorry but,I hated it,and my love for Twilight just slowly died down.

Why I hated the other three/two it was because,I couldn't understand what was going,and I didn't know what was going on. All I know,was that;

-They didn't go to school anymore,.
-Edward left, and Bella was all sorrow and felt as if the her life was meaningless without Edward.
-Edward and Bella said "I love you" to each other like 7568975 times!
-Bella couldn't make up her mind between Edward and Jacob.
-She suddenly became a vampire and gave birth to a half-human half-vampire baby girl name Reneesmee.

Those are the only things that I could understand. And I could only understand half of the things that was happening at the Volturi. Somehow I just couldn't get it inside my head on to what was going on. Its like one minute she Bella chooses Edward and then she decides to chooses Jacob, and then some of the characters think that its not worth living if the one you love is no longer exists,so they decided to kill themselves too,and then more and more characters appeared and I got so confused! I'm sorry but its just my opinion and I just don't like the other three books. Because to me,it didn't really make any senses.

And here are some of the other things that I thought about Twilight;

  • I don't why but I think that Kristen Stewart wasn't the right person to play Bella Swan. She seems lifeless and she made Bella Swan seem more lifeless than ever. I just didn't picture Bella as Kristen Stewart when I read the book.

  • If Bella Swan was just and ordinary, plain girl, why did so many guys like her? Because, from what I have experience and observe, most guys don't go after the ordinary plain one, they go for the pretty and hot ones! But whatever, its fiction anyway.

  • If Jacob knew that Bella was SO in love with Edward, why is he still clingy to her,I mean couldn't he just go for the one in the other girls in the wolf pack or something.
  • Why did Jacob ended up with Bella's daughter? I thought there was an age difference...
  • Last thing,Bella's dad doesn't really seem to care about her,or her whereabouts!

So,those are some of the things that I thought about Twilight. Anyhow,I'm not sure if I'm gonna watch it or not..and don't get me wrong,I don't hate Twilight,I just treat as OK,not really a big deal to me. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh and did you guys watch Demi Lovato's new music video? I love her outfit, especially those gloves!! The song was okay, the video was okay,I mean its just her and her friends and between shots, she's like rocking out. I couldn't really relate the song to the video, but it was okay i guess :\

Other than the shocking incident that happened on Sunday,my weekend was pretty good...Thankfully!

I've decided that there some good things will turn out after that. Besides I have more important things to think about.

Since the couple of days I've been wasting too much time on my computer,I've made a list of things that I SHOULD & WILL be doing from now on.

1. I need to STOP and control myself from using the computer too much.
2. I need/have to clean my room,at least bit by bit everyday.
(Okay the reason I don't like cleaning my room is because, for me even though my room is messy,I know where everything is,and once I clean it,I forget where I put everything else.)
3. I need to start helping Mom with the household chores.
4. Get started on my homework. At least I can do my English essay if I don't wanna do math.
And I don't want to rush everything into the last minute.

For now, that's just about it. And I'm trying to have a positive thinking from now on. I don't know I always have negative thinking, and I get that,I'll get worried, when I get worried I panic.I really wanna stop myself from thinking negatively. I mean its like not every wrong move is the end of the world right?

Oh and speaking of 'The End Of The World' have you heard about this;

Some people really believe that's its 'the end of the world'...when obviously its not. I saw the trailer and thought it was pretty interesting. Maybe I'll go watch it :D

I remember these fabulous cartoons. It was shown on cartoon network and I love watching them. Mystery shows was my fave genre and Scooby-Doo become my all-time fave.
My Dad love these cartoons too,he always told me how much he like the drawings that the cartoonist drew in those times.Well,I have to admit these were some great cartoon drawings. And we used to watch Popeye every night on Cartoon Network together. And seriously,Popeye was half of the reason why I ate my spinach last time!
Well, now they slowly stop airing these shows on Cartoon Network... Now they're on Boomerang,I think right? Too bad I don't have that Channel :(

Admit it,this is one of the coolest shows that hit your TV screen! Whenever this shows airs every Tuesday I'll be the one to take the front row sit in the living room. Among C.S.I NY,Las Vegas or any other C.S.I that is out there, this is,to me,the best. And why? 'Cause of Horatio Caine, that is. I mean, how much cooler can he get?! For those of you who watch this show,d'ya see how he handles every crime investigation, awesome right? :D

Another reason I love this show is possibly because this is the best detective shows i ever watch. Yeah i grew up loving to watch mystery/detective shows. I don't really remember when i start loving these genre though. Maybe it was because it was Mom who often chose mystery books for me whenever we were at the library,or maybe I just love it,just like that. I remember how i used to go to the library,or the bookstore and picked out like almost the entire stack of books that had anything to do with solving crime cases. Nancy Drew was one of them :D I even dream of becoming a detective myself! But I don't think i wanna be anymore, knowing that i don't really have what it takes to be one. *Sigh* Then i have these PC mystery games. Some are in my drawer and some I borrowed from the library, and honestly,so far i never did finish playing ANY of them. I never did solve the cases.Either i was stuck-and eventually i gave up-or i was just afraid going further onto the game.(Be lieve me,some of the games can be a little bit scarier than what you expect, with the sound effects and the graphics.)

Up to this age level,mystery/detective shows never bores me,well, most of them do not.
It just like how my Mom loves watching the cooking channel,Dad loves watching the news and football and how one of my cousins loves watching Korean drama series(*coughs*ahem, Nuraini *coughs* :p)

So yeah,i guess C.S.I Miami definitely a-must-watch- show for me,every week. There's just one tiny, little problem though,it airs on Tuesday nights, like 1hr before midnight and according to Mom I'm suppose to be sleeping at that time,so that i can wake on time for school the next day. Damn school!! D:

Monday, September 7, 2009

I watched half of Princess Protection Programme(try saying that 5 times fast!) awhile ago, would have watched the whole show even it wasn't for my short memory term :p The show was okay,i thought Demi really suited the part of Princess Rosalinda...and Selena was so pretty and cute!! And I love the mask that they wore for the homecoming dance! I really admire the friendship between the both for them-both screen and off screen-i mean friends like that are one in a million.

I finally found out when school's gonna start.Next week! Awesome or what!!? One whole week of fun AND relaxation is really what i need. I'll throw all my worries aside till next week.

This morning,i just remembered that I still have not hand in my school form,i was suppose to hand in like, one week ago! But,like i said,i forgot things easily so...i must have missed this one out! Not only that, to tell the truth i was lazy to go back to school,so just i could hand that damn form! Yea,the teacher asked me to go back-when there was lessons for us that day-just so i could hand in the form to the school's office. Ya think I'm so free??!

Here's the conversation on...Wednesday.
Teacher: Did you bring the form?
Me:No... its inside the other bag.
Teacher:Hand it in to the office tomorrow.
Me: WHAT?! Tomorrow no school right??
Teacher: Ya! That's your problem! But you come back and give it to the office, the deadline is tomorrow.
Me: Huh..... :(
Believe me,i planned to asked my Dad to give it for me,so i wouldn't have to get up and move...but i forgot.

*Sigh* Well,whatever..I'll worry about that when i get back to school, but now...I'll just make the most of this week school holidays.

Its funny how I said I'm gonna study, but never do it :p
